Academic Writing for Postgraduate Students

Are you or your students looking to elevate your academic writing and become more confident, independent scholars across disciplines? This comprehensive course is designed to increase your agency as a writer by helping you develop both a theoretical understanding and practical skills for academic discourse across disciplines.

Basics of Grammar Course (30 June - 1 August 2025)

The aim of this online short course is to develop a command of written English, specifically in the context of academia. Participants will learn a variety of grammar rules, guided in using grammar in such a way that it can be used to get their point across effectively and ensure that their writing is clear, concise, and easily understandable.

Units:

Unit 1: Parts of Speech                                                                                                                     
Unit 2: Subject, verb, object, and voice                                                                                           
Unit 3: Concord                                                                                                                               
Unit 4: Sentence structure, errors, and punctuation                                                                       
Unit 5: Course Evaluation and Certificate Collection.
