Studied at the Haute Ecole de Musique in Geneva where he obtained his B.Mus (hon) in 1993 and the  Prix de Virtuosité in performance studies in 1997 in the class of Prof. Edson Elias.

During his undergraduate studies he was a bursary student of the Swiss government.

Further studies followed at the Ecole Normale de Musique/Alfred Cortot  in Paris and he obtained the Diplôme Supérieuri in 2002.

Coaching singers and choirs has been a big interest since his student days.

In 2014 he accompanied the Bloemfontein Men`s Choir at the International Eisteddfod in Llangollen, Wales, where they won the overall second prize for Men`s Choirs. From 2015 to 2020 he was the conductor of the choir at Sentraal High School.
