The drive for internationalisation and global benchmarking at UNIBS speaks directly to the institutional vision, mission, and value statement. It is pursued in three distinct ways: internationally informed and delivered training offered to staff and interns; a dynamic and sustainable internship exchange programme with the University of Leuven in Belgium; and a longstanding research collaboration with the same university. These endeavours have produced a number of measurable outputs including, but not limited to:

  • Improved quality of supervision and service delivery
  • Accreditation of the internship training at UNIBS by a high-rated European university (KUL, Belgium)
  • Increased and improved research outputs
  • Hosting a EUROSA bursary holder as a PhD student in the Unit
  • International exposure and benchmarking for staff and interns at UNIBS
