Anneri Meintjes is currently employed as a researcher in the Evidence Based Change focus area of the CTL. Her main responsibilities are to promote the effective use of online assessment through evidence-based best practice; monitor student and staff engagement with the institutional learning management system (Blackboard), as well as their digital identities; and investigating how blended learning could be optimised at the UFS. She has been involved in a number of institutional and national research projects including research on the use of personal mobile devices in teaching and learning (funded by the DHET), as well as a research project on the use of blended learning in four higher education institutions in South Africa during and after the #FeesMustFall protests in 2016 (funded by the Carnegie Corporation of New York). She has presented her research findings at various national and international conferences. Anneri completed a BCom in 2010 and a BCom Honours (Industrial Psychology) in 2012 (cum laude) at the UFS. She completed a full research Master`s degree in Higher Education Studies (cum laude) in 2015, also at the UFS. She is currently enrolled for a PhD in Higher Education Studies.
