Short CV

Wouter de Wet is a Senior Lecturer in the History Department of the University of the Free State, QwaQwa campus. He is a sports historian with a specific focus on rugby. His research interests include sports history, institutional or organizational histories, contemporary Afrikaner history, as well as twentieth century South African history. He is currently working on the topic of international relations in the rugby world during the first half of the twentieth century, and on the history of golf in South Africa and in the eastern Free State specifically. Further, he is also involved in the national Research Project on the History of Universities in South Africa as a member of the UFS`s research group.
