CANSA

Who they are:
The Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) is a non‑profit organisation dedicated to cancer research, education, and patient support. In Bloemfontein, the University of the Free State (UFS) and CANSA collaborate on medical research and community outreach.

Services offered:
This partnership also strengthens public health education, with CANSA and the UFS working together to promote early detection and awareness of both adult and childhood cancers. Beyond medical collaboration, the link extends into the LLB programme, where students engage with patient advocacy and community outreach, ensuring that legal frameworks and social justice are integrated into the broader fight against cancer.
