Who they are:
The Itemoheleng Soy Project is a community‑driven health and economic initiative based in Qwaqwa, South Africa, operated in partnership with the Agape Foundation for Community Development and the UFS. The project aims to improve local diets, alleviate poverty, and strengthen community immunity by processing and promoting soy‑based nutrition. Communities are trained on the health benefits of soy beans, with products used to address malnutrition, obesity, high blood pressure, and low immune systems.
Services offered:
The project also extends its reach through community training sessions and awareness activities, including participation in the Community Engagement Festival on the UFS Bloemfontein Campus.
