The Martie du Plessis School in Bloemfontein is a specialised educational institution serving learners with cerebral palsy, physical disabilities, and learning challenges. Originally established as a diagnostic centre and later developed into a full‑time school, it provides tailored educational and therapeutic support designed to help learners reach their developmental potential within an inclusive and supportive environment.

For pastoral care students, the school offers a unique context to engage with disability theology, educational inclusion, and the relational dynamics of care within institutional and developmental frameworks. This partnership with the Department of Practical and Missional Theology through TPAS3722 Pastoral Care enables students to explore how faith, resilience, and relational practices intersect with the lived realities of disability and inclusion.
