Short CV

I hold a Master`s degree in Language Practice (specialising in Interpreting Studies) from the University of the Free State. My undergraduate studies were completed at Rhodes University, Grahamstown, where I obtained a BA in Afrikaans Literature and German. I also obtained a Post-graduate Certificate in Education at Rhodes University. My fields of interest include Interpreting Studies, Simultaneous Interpreting, Community Interpreting and Non-professional Interpreting.

Papers presented:

2014: `Words of art: A study into interaction between concept and language in the art of Willem Boshoff`, paper presented at the annual Linguistics Association of South Africa conference in Bloemfontein, South Africa.

2010: `Interpreting: the argument for multicultural learning environments at the University of the Free State.`, paper presented at the South African Higher Education conference in Potchefstroom, South Africa.

Interpreting Studies, with specific focus on community and non-professional interpreting.
