Dr Paul Bassong

Past Postdoctoral Fellows:

Carmen Delgado Luchner is a trained translator (MA), interpreter (MA) and interpreter trainer (MAS). She obtained her PhD in interpreting studies from the University of Geneva in 2015. Her research interests include humanitarian interpreting, skill acquisition and pedagogy, language classification in interpreting and the use of technology for training. Dr Luchner is currently also a visiting post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Reading (UK), where she is studying the use of languages and language brokerage in development NGOs.
Bastian Persohn completed his MA in General Linguistics at the University of Münster before receiving his PhD in General Linguistics from the University of Cologne. Duygu Tekgül obtained her BA degree in Translation and Interpreting Studies at Bogaziçi University, Istanbul, then completed an MA in Publishing and Language at Oxford Brookes University, and a PhD in Sociology at Exeter University. Her research interests include sociology of translation, print culture, and intercultural communication. Her work has been published in Translation Studies and European Journal of Cultural Studies.
