Nicola

Nicola Yon is currently a PhD student at the University of the Free State at the
International Studies Group. Her thesis is provisionally titled ‘Women and
Social Protection in Zimbabwe 1939-2017’
. She holds a BA (Hons) Economic
History and an MSc Population Studies from the University of Zimbabwe. She also
holds an MSc Social Protection Financing (with a Distinction) from the University
of Mauritius. Her research interests include social protection, gender and
economic history. She also serves in the Southern African Social Protection Experts
Network (SASPEN) advisory panel.
