Explore texting and IM as mechanisms for developing academic support

Student may be encouraged to use IM in class to discuss tasks, share files, and comment on course content with their peers. Additionally, IM have been used by lecturers in the past to administer short yes-no quizzes in class, give feedback on their work, and to encourage the asking of questions in class.
