Period: Four weeks (between 1 February 2021 and 31 January 2022)

Collaborators: University of the Free State and Lancaster University

Project Summary

The project will involve a knowledge engagement event hosted by Lancaster University. The event will be attended by selected earlier career researchers from various UK universities working on higher education and social justice. The purpose of the project is to create an environment for ECRs to share practices and experiences of working on education and social justice in different contexts and  in the process identify innovative, theoretical interpretations and practices that may apply to the South African context. The travel grant will also create an opportunity for Dr Mkwananzi and Dr Cin to host a book launch of their newly edited book published by Routledge titled: Post-Conflict Participatory Arts: Socially Engaged Development. The event will bring together all UK contributors.
