Dr Erasmus Masitera holds a D.Phil. in Philosophy from the University of Pretoria (South Africa). He is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the SARCHI Chair in Higher Education and Human Development Research Programme at the University of the Free State, South Africa. Erasmus’ research focuses on African moral thinking on various aspects of human living that range from land reform and land redistribution, disability, and education. In particular, at UFS his research focus is on Ubuntu, Capability Approach, Disability and associated (injustices), and Higher Education. In that regard his researches oscillate on various political, social and economic perspectives embedded in African social thinking.
