The UFS Badminton Club, home to the UFS Badminton Men’s and Women’s teams, offers a community for individual players to hone their skills. Although practice takes place off campus, the dedication and commitment of each member shine through in their performance. Players in the UFS Badminton Club learn the value of discipline, precision, and continuous improvement, embodying the club’s spirit of excellence and camaraderie.

Excellence
In 2023, the UFS showcased excellence by representing South Africa at the inaugural World Badminton Championships, demonstrating skill and determination against top players from around the world.

Robert Summers has been named Sportsman of the Year for the past two years for his international achievements as a Protea badminton player.

Caden Kakora also represented the Protea badminton team.
