KovsieFootball recognises the power of sport, in particular football, to change lives in South Africa. With our dedicated, passionate, and skilled staff, KovsieFootball develops athletes and provides opportunities through University Sports South Africa (USSA), the Confederation of Universities and Colleges Sports Assocation (CUCSA), and the International University Sports Federation (FISU) events, enhancing the football experience for student athletes and preparing them to participate internationally. Many athletes have qualified and represented USSA national teams at continental and international competitions in university sport.
At KovsieFootball, we prioritise holistic development and excellence in our support programmes designed for student athletes.
Excellence
KovsieFootball has nurtured talent over the past decade, demonstrating the university's commitment to excellence. Three national women’s football players have emerged from its ranks to represent the federations. Two of these athletes proudly represent South Africa, while one hails from Lesotho, showcasing the programme's broad impact and success.
