KovsieCricket at the UFS is a vibrant community for cricket enthusiasts, comprising three men's teams and one women's team. The club's activities centre around the KovsieCricket Oval, which houses the main clubhouse and primary field. The men's teams, along with the women's team, exemplify dedication, teamwork, and competitive spirit. KovsieCricket is committed to fostering talent and sportsmanship, playing a vital role in the university's dynamic sports culture.

Excellence
Standing as a beacon of excellence, KovsieCricket has produced 15 men's Protea cricket players to date, with Raynard van Tonder being the latest to achieve this honour. Additionally, the programme has seen two women's Protea cricket players emerge, with Annerie Dercksen being the most recent. KovsieCricket continues to nurture young talent, with several promising players on the brink of inclusion in the national sides. This legacy of excellence underscores KovsieCricket's pivotal role in shaping the future of South African cricket.

Facilities
The university’s cricket facilities boast five well-maintained cricket fields and twenty practice nets. Central to these facilities is the KovsieCricket Oval, which serves as the main clubhouse and primary field. These top-tier amenities provide a comprehensive training and playing environment, supporting the development and success of KovsieCricket players and teams.
