UFS athletes and staff selected for CUCSA Games

Nineteen UFS athletes and staff will represent South Africa at the 21st CUCSA Region V Games, competing in athletics, netball, football, and table tennis.
A total of 19 Kovsies have been selected to represent South Africa at the 21st Confederation of Universities and Colleges Sports Association (CUCSA) Region V Games. They will compete in four sporting codes – athletics, netball, football, and table tennis.
The games will take place from 7 to 12 July 2024 at the Tshwane University of Technology (Pretoria Campus) and the University of Pretoria (Hillcrest Campus).
The following KovsieSport staff and athletes are to compete in the games:
- KovsieAthletics – Nicola Gibbon (400 m), Dumisani Motloung (800 m and 1 500 m), Jarryd Crossman (100 m), Mthi Mthimkulu (400 m), Innocent Mnyakeni (5 000 m), and middle/long distance athlete and staff member Moorosi (Boy) Soke.
- KovsieNetball – Liame de Lange
- KovsieFootball – Men’s team: Obakeng Seekoei, Tisetso Seodinyane, Sambulo Sithole, Godfrey Tenoff (head coach).
- KovsieFootball – Women’s team: Qawekazi Masakazi, Dimakatso Mokoena, Yanga Magengenene, Matshwantsho Dlamini, and Jabulile Baloyi (head coach).
- KovsieTableTennis – Sipho Booi, Nokubonga Mabaso, and Rethabile Molisenyane (team manager).
