Your stay in residences on campus can be the most memorable time of your student life. Living and studying in a residence environment allows you to develop an understanding of people who come from various backgrounds and cultures.

Residences are managed by a residence head, and a prime and house committee assist the residence head to manage the residence orderly and efficiently. They ensure that the rules of the UFS and the residences are followed, and take responsibility for everything that happens in the residences.

All rooms in the residences are furnished with a quality bed, desk, chair, and cupboard. For a minimal fee, you may install a refrigerator in you room. You may also use a microwave oven and personal computer.

Industrial washing machines and tumble dryers are available in every residence, as well as central kitchens. You must bring your own iron, washing powder, laundry bag, clothes pegs, etc. Your own frying pan or two-plate stove may only be used in the kitchens and not in the rooms. If you are going to prepare your own meals, you must also bring your own crockery and cutlery.
