Ndaka

Ndakaitei holds a Master’s Degree in HIV/AIDS Management from Stellenbosch University, where she conducted a Knowledge, Attitude, and Perception study on the response to HIV and AIDS programmes by service staff at the University of Venda. She also has a Master of Arts in Sociology (UFS) based on a study of the experiences of women who are growing old with HIV in the Manicaland Province in Zimbabwe.

Ndakaitei's current research  is and exploratory study of graduate outcomes for students with learning disabilities at the University of the Free State. Using the Capabilities Approach, she investigates the instrumental and intrinsic gains from their higher education, the potential and achieved opportunities in line with what students with learning disabilities value to do and/or become. In this way, her study contributes to the work on higher education and social welfare in South Africa.
