SCOPE OF INFORMATION


Short Description of the SLP: The purpose of the SLP is to more advanced (intermediate level) SASL skills to participants to enable them to have a more in-depth conversation with a Deaf person. The SLP secondly aims to create understanding about Deafness and SASL amongst hearing people.

Assessments:
Acquisition and practical – Learners will be assessed by creating real-life situations in which the participant must use the vocabulary acquired, e.g. role-plays.
The theoretical aspect will be included in the practical assessment e.g. the participant must refer the deaf client to a specific and applicable organization. Continuous assessment will be done each time the contact session takes place through class tests on signs acquired during the previous session.
