Profile   

Eric Duma is a security professional with more than 18 years’ experience in the security industry, with 8 years at management level. He is currently the Protection Services Site Manager on the Qwaqwa Campus, and has worked as a site supervisor at Southend Security Services, case and security officer at the Department of Correctional Services, administration officer: security and safety at the Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, cluster manager: security and facilities at the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development, regional security manager at Nedbank, and assistant director: security management at the Eastern Cape Department of Cooperate Governance and Traditional Affairs. His academic qualifications include a NDip Security Risk Management (Unisa), Advanced Diploma in Security Management (Unisa), Postgraduate Diploma in Labour Law (UJ), Postgraduate Diploma in Forensic Investigation and Criminal Justice (UKZN), Senior Management Development Programme (UFS), and a Certificate in Safety Management (Unisa).

Profile   

Tshokelo Molefe is a security professional with more than 20 years’ experience in the security industry, 10 of which were in a supervisory level at a higher learning institution. He is currently Officer: Operations Coordinator in the Qwaqwa Campus Protection Services responsible for security operations and technical security, traffic coordination, off-campus security liaison, and investigation support. He previously worked for Sentry Security and Kusasa Security Services before joining the University of the Free State Protection Services on the Qwaqwa Campus as a shift leader in 2004. He was appointed to the position of Assistant Officer: Sergeant responsible for all shifts on the Qwaqwa Campus in 2014. His qualifications include Engaged Leadership for Supervisors (UFS), I am (UFS), Programme in Security Management (Unisa).

Profile   

Sibongile Madlala is an investigating officer with a focus on crime prevention, specialising in fraud, corruption, and sexual offences. Although her career path was not initially planned, she excelled in this role, driven by a passion for combatting crime and improving safety on the Qwaqwa Campus. Madlala works closely with various stakeholders, including the Sexual Offence Response Team, SAPS, and colleagues from the Department of Student Counselling and Development, to ensure a secure environment for the campus community.

Her responsibilities include conducting investigations, threat detection, and risk assessments. Madlala is also dedicated to raising awareness about mental well-being and the importance of addressing criminal behaviour, particularly sexual offences against women and children. Guided by her Christian values, she upholds strong ethics in her work, with a strong focus on honesty, empathy, and accountability. Her commitment to integrity and her father's teachings shapes her approach to serving the public and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all.
