Parking facilities

The UFS offers parking facilities for staff, students, and visitors on the Bloemfontein, Qwaqwa, and South campuses. Here are some key points about parking at the UFS:

  1. Parking availability:
  • The university provides parking spaces for staff, students, and visitors. This is an advantage, as many other South African universities in urban areas do not have this facility.
  1. Accessible parking:
  • There are designated parking spaces close to entrances for people with physical disabilities. Students or members of staff with disabilities must submit their parking applications to the Centre for Universal Access and Disability Support (CUADS). You can reach them via cuads@ufs.ac.za
  1. Campus maps:
  • It is recommended that the campus maps are consulted for information on open parking areas and specific parking zones. Download the UFS campus map here: ufs-campus-map.pdf
  1. Visitor parking
  • Visitors can park on campus and must register at the Visitors Centre to receive a temporary access card.

For more detailed information, contact the Visitors Centre at +27 51 401 9111.

Access the Parking Procedure here: Parking Procedure

Parking: non-compliance:

Strict action will be taken against persons who do not meet the stipulations of the procedure. Fines will be imposed for the violation of parking rules. The income will be reinvested in the maintenance of an orderly parking environment on campus.
