Be aware. Stay safe. Make smart choices.
Situational awareness means paying attention to what is happening around you. Whether you are walking across campus, heading to your car, or socialising with friends, being alert can help you spot potential risks early and avoid dangerous situations. Trust your instincts – if something does not feel right, it probably isn’t.
Just as important is knowing who and where to avoid. Do not hang out with people who often get into trouble – their actions can put you at risk too. Also, avoid places where risky behaviour is common. Staying out of trouble often comes down to the company you keep and the choices you make.
