External Offerings and Partnerships

Line

What is it? CTL collaborates with national and international institutions, professional bodies, and experts to expand and enhance our practices. These partnerships enable CTL to offer accredited programmes, workshops, and resources that enhance learning and teaching, and scholarship through shared expertise and best practices.

Why is it important? Collaborations are important to broaden our access to expertise, resources, and innovative practices that strengthen learning and teaching at the UFS, while we, in turn, share our expertise and lessons learned with other higher education practitioners. Through this, we stay current with global trends, enhance programme quality, and create opportunities for academics to learn from diverse contexts, ultimately benefiting student success.

How is it implemented? These collaborations and partnerships are implemented through formal agreements, joint programmes, co hosted workshops, and participation in national and international learning and teaching networks. CTL also works with external partners by inviting experts to contribute to different initiatives and engage in collaborative research, aligning our selected offerings with shared goals for academic excellence.

What does it look like? Some key examples include:
  1. The Academic Advising Professional Development (AAPD) SLP we present
  2. The Siyaphumelela initiative
