What is it? Student academic support in CTL refers to high-impact practices and initiatives that help students succeed academically by impacting engagement, progression and employability.

Why is it important? Student academic support is important in higher education because it helps our students develop the skills, confidence, and learning strategies needed to succeed in academically demanding environments. Effective support improves students’ academic progression by addressing diverse learning needs and reducing barriers to success. It also promotes equity by ensuring that all students have access to opportunities that enhance their learning.
