What is it? We also support academic staff through responsive and just-in-time opportunities that complement formal development initiatives. These offerings are needs-driven and may include ad hoc workshops, training in the use of technology, one-on-consultations, collaboration, and faculty-specific support.

Why is it important? Being open and adaptable to support faculties and academics based on what they might need at a specific time enables academic staff to adapt to emerging challenges, policy changes, technological developments, and their evolving student needs in a timely manner.

How is it implemented? We provide this support in various ways, including workshops, webinars, consultations, communities of practice, and targeted training sessions.

What does it look like? Some examples include:

  • Learning Design consultations: academics can meet with a learning designer to discuss specific needs and ideas
  • AI Community of Practice
  • Moderation workshop
