What is it? Graphic Design at the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is not just about making documents and videos pretty, but about making images and layouts easy to understand and exciting to view.
Why is it important? A well-designed document or visual helps people to understand the content more easily. It makes theoretical content more interesting and fun to learn, whether through pictures, charts, or specific layouts. When learning materials look professional, catch the eye, and are easy to follow, it makes the content easier to remember.
How is it implemented? Our team works closely with academic staff to make content more visually appealing and easier to understand. To explain how something works, we create practical, fun, colourful images, charts, slides, interactive learning tools, and eye-catching presentations, all while adhering to the UFS branding guidelines.
To make use of this service, academic staff can contact us by email and we can determine if you would qualify for this support based on specific criteria (e.g. needs to be related to learning and teaching, etc.)
