DRHR6804 - Ideologies and Research Methodology in Drama and Theatre Arts

This module forms the basis of the BA honours in Drama and Theatre Arts. The module aims to provide the student with the “tools” to conduct independent research and facilitate critical thinking. The module concentrates on the theories, research methodologies, methods, techniques and ideologies relevant to research in the performing arts.  

DRMT6800 - Advanced Performance Theories and Analysis

The module focuses on advanced theories and analysis with relation to the performing arts. Students explore given topics during 3 to 4 masterclass sessions under the guidance of specific supervisors. During the masterclasses, students explore different source materials that relate to the historical and theoretical content of a specific subject matter. The module is a progression of the research methodology module, DRHR6804. 

DRMP6808 - Research Report

This module contains fundamental knowledge, theories, principles and practices of a research report, including: 
  1. The use and application of appropriate methods and conventions of academic research within the field of Drama and Theatre Arts.
  2. To complete a research report in the form of a creative research project from a selected Capita Selecta module.
